The Kurdish Forum was initiated by a group of Kurds living in Huddersfield in August 2009.
Some Kurdish people had expressed concern that as Kurds they do not have a venue or forum where they could raise issues and concerns and this has made their lives very difficult.
They believed organising a forum to discuss issues that are affecting their lives would be a very good thing to happen. And so the Kurdish forum was set up.
The Kurdish Forum aims to build relations between the Kurdish Community and other organisations and communities. Also to organise activities that strengthen the community as a whole, and help in the integration of Kurds within the society in which they live, whilst promoting the Kurdish culture.
